I didn’t like this BB cream in the summer — too heavy. But now that it’s cold and dry out, my skin LOVEs this cream. Maturing, dehydrated skin? That’s me. My skin feels great when I use this.

I give this a 4 out of 5 because I found it too much for my skin in the hot months. I have no idea whether or not it controls oil since that’s not an issue for me anymore. The texture is a bit thick, but I learned to work with it. The smell is a bit strong at first — kind of like baby powder — but wears off quickly. I would prefer a non-scented product but this is OK.

As the BRTC Jasmine Water bb bream was way too light for me, I tried this one and I really liked it. It’s more in the expensive league of bb creams but the quality is really good. The cream moisturizes the skin but this also means that oil control is rather weak. Coverage is light to medium in my opinion and the smell is quite good.

Overall Rating: I would give this a 4.5, but since there’s no half star, I decided to push it up and give it a full five stars.

Coverage: This bbc is suited more towards those who want a medium to full coverage, and not for people who would like a light coverage bbc. Also, I think this bbc may be more suitable to those with more mature skin as some of its properties (anti-wrinkle, skin-tightening) may be aimed at an older audience.

Texture: This bbc is especially thick, at least to me, but when I rub this on my skin, I can almost feel the moisture going back into my skin. It’s that rich. You wouldn’t think they’d call it ‘Gold Caviar’ for nothing, do you? All bad puns aside, this bbc’s texture is smooth, but it may be a bit harder to spread out due to the thick quality of the cream.

Oil-control: I have combination skin, my T-zone is oily and my cheeks are rather dry, and I would have to say that this bbc is not the best for oil control. Granted, it’s not one of the major claims that BRTC has put on this product, but for a combo person like me, I would rather have liked this to control the oiliness a bit better. After 4-5 hours, I could see a bit of unevenness on my forehead and nose. This would be alright for the average student perhaps, but if you were to try and wear this the entire day, I would suggest reapplying later on in the day.

Smell: I couldn’t really smell anythings from this, but a slight fragrance, which I liked anyways. I dislike products with way too much perfume in it, so this was nice without much scent.

    Product Claims: (from website)

SPF 50: I have no idea whether this is true or not since I can’t exactly test it, but I’m pretty sure it’s true. Almost all bbc’s have some sort of SPF factor (except for I think Lioele Beyond the Solution), but this is by far the highest SPF factor I have seen in a bbc so far. This is also really nice because it can eliminate an extra step in my morning skincare routine.

Tightening of skin: I can’t really say much on this since I don’t have saggy or drooping skin, but since this bbc is aimed at an older audience, I would probably say that it does have some tightening qualities.

Whitening: This bbc, like almost all bbc’s, has a whitening factor in it. Although the colour of the cream is rather light, I would say for my MAC NC 25-ish skin it would work best in the winter time rather then summer time. It does indeed brighten up any areas that are darker, ex. around the nose, mouth, and does lighten up your skin, although I have not seen any permanent lightening effects.

Anti-wrinkles: Again, no wrinkles here, so not really a good judgment on my part, but I would have to say again that this is probably true to some degree. Also, most bbc’s now have anti-wrinkles, so I would think that this is true.

Nutrient supply: Yes! This is my HG bbc for moisturizing. As I’ve said before in the texture section, this bbc is especially rich. It also has gold and caviar ingredients in it, so I would think this would be a very good choice if you were looking for a good nutrient-based bbc.

Comments: I personally do like this bbc a lot, the high SPF level means no extra sunscreen, the moisturizing-ness of the cream, and that fact this this did not break me out, but I’m not sure whether that might be true for some other people. Also, this bbc is pretty light, so I wouldn’t recommend it for people with MAC NC30+ because on my NC25 it does look a bit light, although that does go away after 30 minutes or so. Also, I would not recommend this to people with oily skin as the oil control is not the best. You would have to keep blotting every few hours or so to keep it under control.
And an extra tidbit, if you buy this here, it will be pretty expensive (I found one selling at $47!) but it is worth it.

All in all, 4.5~! <3 <3 <3 this bbc! Definitely one of my HG bbc's!

I have read that BRTC was the first bb cream??! So I always wanted to try. I bought this to try. The coverage is fairly decent, though it can get oily after a short while. I think it’s more suited during winter to use it than to use it during summer time when it’s so humid and hot.

My skin type is combination (oily and dry depending on the temperature and how many times I washes my face). I am also acne prone.

I think this bb cream is more suited for more mature skin as well.
