BRTC Jasmine Water

The BRTC Jasmine Water BB cream has been conceived with dry and sensitive skin in mind. With its special use of jasmine extracts, this bb cream soothes, moisturizes and protects the skin. It also has sun protection properties (SPF30) and anti wrinkle properties.

I have dry-combination, acne prone skin that has acne scarring and is very pale with neutral undertones. I love this bb cream, I’ve used it all and will have to repurchase. I love everything about it and there’s nothing bad to say.
COVERAGE
coverage is medium and is able to cover my blemishes, acne scarring, and redness. it also feels very light on the skin.
TEXTURE
its viscosity is medium for a bb cream. It’s not too liquidy but not thick. If you put it on your hand and tilt your hand sideways, it will move slowly. It has a cream texture, not a gel texture.
OIL CONTROL
it’s a water bb cream so oil control is not great. I do not find my skin is any oiler than it usually is by the end of the day. keep in mind: i use a setting powder which helps with oil control but i do not use blotting powder throughout the day.
FINISH
It hydrates my skin and has a natural-slightly dewy finish. Great for normal, combination, and dry skin types.
SMELL
very light jasmine smell. The jasmine scent is not a traditional overpowering floral scent. it’s very nice and diminshes quickly.
COLOR
I have extremely fair skin (always the lightest color in makeup shades) and this bb works great. it blends perfectly into my neutral undertone skin so i believe it could work for people with pink or yellow toned skin. I would also recommend this for light-normal skin tones.
I have EXTREMELY pale skin. As in, I am by far the palest person I have ever met. I was disappointed with this product because I had purchased it because everyone kept saying how light it was, but it turned out to be several shaded too dark.
However, if your not stupidly pale, this is a great product…
My skin is also very sensitive. This product did not irritate my skin at all.
The product also did not cause any breakouts on my skin.
It does go on quite dewy. Not awesome if you have very oily skin, but okay for me.
Oh, and it smells great (:
My overall rating would have to be a 3.5, simply because this bbcream wasn’t suited for me (explained in more detail in coverage section). However, many friends have tried this, so I won’t just be basing this off of my own (failed) experiences.
COVERAGE:
This bbcream isn’t the best for concealing. The coverage on it is rather sheer, and although you can put more on, it would be best to layer the applications or it might be a bit harder to blend into your skin. The coverage is good for evening out skintones, but not for concealing any acne or scarring.
The only thing that bugged me about this bbcream was that it was so light in colour. I am around NC20-25, and I was still way to dark to try and wear this. I would definitely not purchase if you were tanned, or your skin was dark coloured because you’ll end up looking like a ghost. It also has pinkish and yellowish undertones, so it would likely match more people.
TEXTURE:
This is watery, not at all creamy. If you compare it to the BRTC Gold Caviar, this isn’t as thick or moisturizing. It is easy to apply still, but as said before, you might want to layer it on. Many of my friends say it is very blendable, and I found that it is very easy to put on.
OIL CONTROL:
This gives me a not completely matte finish, but it reduces oil and keeps it at bay for around 5 hours or so. By then, I happen to have a slightly dewy look, but nothing that can’t be managed with a powder. It also moisturizes rather well, but not so much that my oilies come out.
SMELL:
My favourite part about this bbcream. The smell. IT IS THE MOST WONDROUS SMELLING BBCREAM EVER! It contains 5% jasmine water (hence the name) and it smells heavenly. I would recommend it just based on the smell alone, since it does leave a bit of fragrance behind. Everyone that I know who have tried this say they love the smell as well.
PRODUCT CLAIMS:
SPF 30:
This is a big deal to many people, including myself, because I don’t have the time in the morning to put sunscreen on. Since I wear this bbcream, it helps in reducing my time, which is a huge plus!
However, this doesn’t have a PA rating, like my Gold Caviar one does, so that might not be the fullest protection.
WHITENING:
Yes. If you have slightly darker skin, I highly recommend you to try this if you are looking for a good whitening bbcream. This is by far the lightest shade of bbcream I have ever tried, and that would probably work out to lighten your skin a touch if you wear it regularly.
ANTI-WRINKLING:
NA. I don’t have any wrinkles, and hopefully won’t get any anytime soon!
Ending comments:
I have to say that this would be the perfect bbcream if only it was in a shade darker. I know lots of people have complained about it being too light for their skin, such as myself, but it is a really good bbcream for those who want to try it. If I had the skintone to match this, I would have given it a 4-4.5, but to me, it just wasn’t my colour.
I am really excited by this product! I am turning 40 and fighting! I have used high-end European products and been very disappointed! This multi-purpose forma is PERFECT for pale, yellowish based skin like mine. (Euro foundations too pink) My skin is sensitive and has sun damage from growing up in Australia. I am finding this soothes the redness and covers broken veins pretty well, and everyone is asking what my secret is! I purchased on eBay about three months ago, and have felt confident enough to bin my other products! Wish I’d found this years ago! Going to get the caviar one for Winter!
i finally finished a regular-sized container of this product. it took a while (a pea-sized amount is more than enough). here are my thoughts.
coverage: pretty good, but not full on coverage. it definitely hid some spots and blemishes, but not like a foundation would, let’s say. it’s more like a camouflaging effect.
also, i would recommend this to people with lighter-tone skin (i’m nc30 with mac). it oxidizes after a few minutes but still leaves a pale-but-blended cast. if you take before and after pictures there’s definitely a difference.
texture: blendable, but i think brtc could do better. it dries off after several blends (strokes?) so you must work quickly.
oil control: fail. i even tried dabbing a bit of powder hoping it would stay put. i was only matte for 2 hours TOPS.
smell: really faint jasmine that fades as soon you put it on your skin. i love it though.
overall: i liked everything else except its ability to control oil, which is quite unacceptable. not repurchasing.
I love this BB cream!! this is one of my first that I’ve ever tried and since then I have tried quite a number of other brands but I’ve always come back to this.
The coverage is AMAZING and it lasts on me throughout the day not like the others I have tried and I live in a very humid country.
In a nut shell: Least favourite BB Cream.
My skin type: Combination with T Zone getting slightly oily during the day. Some freckles along cheekbones and a few blemishes from old pimples. One or two hormonal pimples a month.
Pros: Nice scent, dewy finish, includes high SPF, contains arbutin (very effective for whitening).
Cons: Not easy to blend or absorb, looked fake and cakey even with the smallest amount, pricier end for BB Creams.
Price: ~$25 USB on sasa.com
Product info from Sasa.com:
BRTC PERFECT PROTECT SYSTEM Jasmine Water BB Cream SPF30 blends the benefits of skin care and makeup, simultaneously performing functions of whitening care, sunscreen, anti-oxidant treatment and concealer. It not only evens up and brightens up complexion, but also conceals imperfections. In addition, it keeps providing skin with rich nourishment and a reliable sunscreen. Containing Jasmine Extract, it delivers tone of moisture to correct dehydrated skin, leaving skin watery. Properties of anti-oxidant sweep away dullness, making skin look translucent white.
This is the 4th BB Cream I own and have used. I’ve also used L’egere’s White Multi BB Cream, Elisha Coy’s Always Nuddy BB 24, and Lab Story.
For such a popular brand, this BB Cream greatly disappointed me. I have fairly pale skin yet this BB Cream would not blend into my skin at all and gave me a really weird white cast. Even if I use a small amount and try to blend it out in small areas, you could still see streak marks of where my fingers tried to blend it out. (I put on BB Cream after toner, eye cream and a whitening gel/serum thing. None of the other BB Creams I use have a blending problem.) The end result is I end up looking like I have way too much foundation on when it’s just a thin layer of BB Cream. The coverage is also very low; usually I don’t need to use under-eye concealer if I’m using a BB Cream but if I don’t use one with BRTC then you can see distinctly the purple dark circles with a layer of pale beige floating on top. It also doesn’t hide the “chicken skin” around my eyes, like other BB Creams do.
And maybe it’s because it doesn’t blend well with my skin, as the day goes on, it makes my nose really oily and seems to enlarge my pore (or at least doesn’t conceal them as well). Usually my nose does get oilier during the day, but it’s not as noticeable with other brands since there’s not an obvious layer of product floating outside.
And I’m not sure if it just clashed with that time of month for me during the week that I used it, but it also gave me a few pimples around the mouth area.
Overall very disappointed, especially for the price this cost. Right now I use this on my neck.
The only pro I can think of for this BB Cream is the SPF (but I think that’s what’s making it give me a bad white cast+hard to blend too.) Usually, even if a BB Cream says it gives UVA/UVB protection, I would still wear a moisturizer or Clinique City Block with SPF under it, for extra protection, but that step can be skipped when using this BB Cream.
This BB Cream feels very light on the skin and does not irritate the skin. It doesn’t have really high coverage, however, using it would give you light-medium coverage and an air-brushed look. The price is a little steep, as all BRTC BB creams are (was about $45). However, it is well worth the money if you have minor discolorations and flaws. The texture is so amazing! The cream is very, very fine and light. A little bit goes a long way. It is a great cream for redness and soothes the skin noticeably. It is moisturizing, but can work for all skin types (I’m oily and it doesn’t break me out; my friend who has dry skin loves it as well). It has a natural-looking, dewey finish. It adds radiance to the skin and minimizes pores, reduces redness, and covers minor imperfections. The only downside is how expensive it can be at places. Overall, this BB cream is definitely one of the best I’ve encountered so far. It is whitening and has an SPF 30 to protect your skin from sun damage. I would recommend this for people who are looking for a BB cream that is soothing, has light-medium coverage, has minor imperfections, and are looking for a naturally-radiant glow and an airbrushed look. (by the way, it’s so gentle that it could work for sensitive skin-I would know because I have sensitive skin!)
I used this Jasmine water BB Cream and it’s AMAZING for my face! no not amazing it’s BOMBAZING! it goes perfectly for my face. I have a Super dry face. and my face is like… eww. but once I used this it just amazed me by the results!
I had a few comments saying are you wearing any makeup? it looks so natural on your face that it doesnt look like you have any on! or like you should do my makeup because yours looks so flawless!
to me it evens out my Coverage and it doesnt make my face cakey! it gives me a new look. like absolutly Flawless!
Since my face is sooooo Dry the moisture to this product is just to perfect that I can feel my face all soft and smooth than dry and rough.
The oil control is great. that is all i can say is… AMAZING!
and I LOVE the smell of Jasmine ^_^ it smells soo delicious! ahh I would just put it all over me!
this is the best cream I have used in my life! ^_^
I just bought the new Jasmine Water BB Cream from brtcstore.com. This is the new blue formula, it is light in texture, watery for good moisture and I love the smell of this product. It also has SPF 30. By far one of the best bb creams out there.
This product gives a very natural, radiant, healthy finish.
It provides good moisture and make your skin looks dewy kissable. I’ve been using it for 3 months and my skin improved really alot without any blemishes now.
I loves it!
Strengths: SPF30, whitening, wrinkle repair function, easily blend, cover pores well and calm blemishes, even out skin tones, do not cause blemishes, nice light jasmine smell, good coverage
Shortcomings: gets oily in the middle of the day, without PA+++
I got a sample of this BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream and I have used it for three days now…
What I really like about this BB cream is that it has so many function (whitening, UV protection, anti-wrinkle) and until now, no breakout on my skin. Yaaayyyy!!
When you apply it on your skin, the scent is so pleasant… Hm…a very nice smell, jasmine scent. It really cheer you up.
It’s really easy to blend it on your skin. The coverage is medium, can’t cover your blemish really well but it makes your pore invisible. It gives you a semi-dewy and brighter skin.
Oil control is average but it still better than not using it.
I already feel the healing effect:
-whiter skin
-calm down the blemish
-smaller pore
-softer skin
A very nice BB cream and I’m going to keep using it.
