FYI: I have fair/light skin, combination skin, mostly more oily on the T-zone.
coverage: This has a very natural coverage which smooths out blemishes, uneven skin, and redness. I have fair/light skin, so it matches my skintone pretty well and has indeed lightened/whitened my skin a bit which I like very much. If you have not THAT pale/white skin, I would recommend the skin 79 Hot Pink. This bb cream also gives a very natural finish so a lot of my frinds can’t tell whether I have something on my face or if it’s my natural skin. I don’t have a lot of pimples so when I put this bb cream on, they can’t tell that I have pimples. You can also layer on, so it’s very simple to apply.
Texture: This has more of a dewy texture than foundation, and when you put it on and start blending (fingers are your best friend), it feels like a thicker moisturizer, but thinner than a foundation which is like the perfect texture. It’s very easy to blend, I would recommend using fingers when using bb cream and brush when using foundation.
Oil Control: Depending on whether it’s in the winter or not, I would use powder to finish up the look if it was in the summer to control oil and set it and just leave it and not do anything if it was in the winter since the skin tends to be more dry. Sometimes if my skin is producing a bit more oil, I would just use powder around my nose and T-zone. Other than that, this is a great moisturizing bb cream and good oil control since it’s not too watery.
Smell: I’m not sure how to describe the smell, it’s not fruity nor perfumy/flowery. It doesn’t have a strong smell after being applied to the skin, but has a nice subtle smell when you first pump it out of the container. It’s definitely wearable, it’s not a heavy scent so no worries on the smell part.
Overall: I think this is great for people who are starters and want to have a nice simple makeup base if they’re rushing to go somewhere in the morning. This is also great for people who want to have a more natural look instead of the cakey powery look too because it’s easy to apply and has whitening and spf which is great. I dont’ have to worry about using spf before putting on makeup. I would definitly buy this product again and recommend it to everyone. I hope this review helps!
It’s not too thick or white. That’s mainly what I’ve been looking for- something quick to slap on my face in the morning. I have hypertrophic scarring on my face and of course it doesn’t cover that, but my hair hides it anyway. It makes my skin tone even and pretty. I have fair, sort of paper-white skin and this is a good color. I was expecting poor coverage, but it’s pretty decent guys. Medium. It feels like nothing on your face and NEVER broke me out (not even when I forgot to remove it) That’s impressive, because some bb creams do make my skin break out or clogs my pores very badly (blackheads TT)
So this gets 5 stars from me. I love it so much I’m buying the matching pact.
i just bought this bb cream at watson.
i love the design. it looks different from the other bb cream i’ve ever seen before.
and all i can say is that this thiggy is quite oily and it didnt match my skin..
what a waste
In my opinion, I think the whole Diamond series is probably meant for people that already HAVE a good complexion, light skin tone, and want a healthy glow.
*Keep in mind that my skin tone is a bit tan with yellow undertones(about NC30, NC35) and I have dark scars from my history of breakouts.
-Coverage: Like I said, the Diamond series is probably meant for good skin (ie. minor, uneven skin tone, slight redness, etc.). Coverage is VERY sheer. Practically nothing. So if you have anything MAJOR to cover up, this is not a very good BB cream. The color is also very light. Even after “oxidizing,” it was still very light on my face.
-Texture: A bit liquid-y like a thin moisturizer.
The liquid texture means you have to hurry and blend before it sets.
-Oil Control: If you have oily skin, then you might have to blot later in the day. If you have dry skin, then this is perfect
-Smell: The scent is very subtle. A nice bit of floral, but it goes away after a few minutes.
-Overall: This BB cream is very sheer, so coverage is not there. And in The Prestige and the Diamond series, there’s some sparkle present in the BB cream. The sparkle looks very natural and “glowy” in person and in pictures it looks AMAZING!
I personally don’t use this BB cream for my entire face since it’s coverage is poor and the color is too light. Instead, I use this for highlighting my features (nose bridge, cupid’s bow, brow bone, etc.).
I would recommend this to anyone with pretty good skin and just wants a natural, glowing, “Idol” face
I’ve just tried it out. And..Im not impressed, no, not at all.
It covered some of the red spots on my face, but not all (and i don’t have it so much..just few).
I should say that I’ve got a pretty skin already, yeah I’m really lucky
But when I tried The Prestige Beblesh Balm from Diamond Collection from SKIN79, my skin started to look oily ?
I don’t know how should I say that..but it looks oily, it’s shining too much, a way too much. It looks like I doesn’t wash my skin for one week , or something, ugh.
But it’s makes my skin soft, very soft
And I like the texture of this cream.
It doesn’t feel like a concealer, more like a facial cream, and it works too like a facial cream, this has nothing to do with concealer or foundation.
This is the 4th of BB Cream that I tried..and it’s the worst BB cream for me
My favourite is Lioele Beyond The Solution and SKIN79 Hot Pink
i have to say i adore this bb cream so much!.
i didnt expect much at first but when i tested it out one day i noticed that my skin doesn’t get oily as much. ( im a very oily person. esp around my t-zone). and so this bb cream gives off a dewy finish and somewhat makes my face glow~ ( wich i like). The coverage isnt much though but its not too sheer so i’d say its around light-medium coverage and i would recommend it to people who do not have alot of flaws to conceal. The texture is not too runny or too thick. its around medium. and it is quite easy to blend out. and the oil control= AMAZING. i’ve had this on the whole day and my face was not oily. but it had a sheen to it though. the smell is like sort of floral-ish scent. and thats a plus!. so overall it’s a GREAT bb cream and i would repurchase this over and over again.
Okay, so I had been looking for something that would make my skin softer, look nicer, and not be heavy. This lovely BB cream is what I had been searching for. The tone matches my fair skin tone so much better than any other tinted moisturizer that I could find at the mall because it isn’t orange-y. It’s light and not very thick, and makes my skin all soft. I’ve seen definite improvement in my skin texture, and less redness even after washing my face. I never had very bad skin to begin with, but my skin had taken a major beating from the harsh face wash that my friend had made me use while I stayed at her home. So anyhow, this BB cream covers lightly, heals well, and gives a dewy, glowing look to the face that suggests health. (Shining, dewy skin is a sign of good health. ^^) Also, I didn’t notice a scent, but that might be because my nose is stuffed up. ^^
Unbeknownst to me, my esthetician had been using this BB cream on me for several months (maybe years) before I was even aware of what BB creams were. When my friend told me about BB creams, I asked my esthetician about them and she revealed that she had been using the Diamond Prestige BB cream on me to finish off each of our facial sessions. Imagine my surprise! So I purchased my very first BB cream from her.
I tend to have dry skin as a consequence of a prior treatment so I wear a moisturizer underneath the BB cream. At first, I was skeptical that it would match my skintone as I’m naturally tan (yay!), but after the cream sits on my skin and oxidizes, it looks more natural.
It doesn’t feel heavy or look caked. I like that it looks like I have no makeup on. Grace is spot on that there is a dewey look to it, but, for me, that dewey-ness only lasts for a few minutes before oxidation. I attribute it to my darker skin.
All in all, I do recommend it to friends. Although, based on the previews reviews, I will let them know that it might cause some breakouts if they have sensitive skin.
This is actually the first BB cream I’ve ever tried and I have to say, it’s really easy to blend into my skin tone. It doesn’t feel cakey which is a plus because when I first tried foundation, it felt like my face was clogged up. I have no problem about the smell since it’s a very light fragrant scent. Everything about it works great for me except that it doesn’t really seem very long lasting, it seems like it begins to wear off after four hours and I don’t bring makeup or skin care to school besides a travel size moisturizer. I also usually get blemishes on the bridge of my nose but it’s like after 10 minutes I apply it, my nose seems to get dry and some flakes of skin begin to show. Coverage isn’t that great because there’s still some blemishes that show, but it covers up most of it. Everything about it is perfect, and I love how it’s easy to access, just by squirting it out, to prevent bacteria.
This is one of the first BB Creams I tried, in a sampler package of Skin79 BB creams, and I quite like it. I have yet to find one pale enough for my skin, but this one is closer than some of the others.
This was my first big experiment after wearing mineral makeup for the last few years, and what a difference! It doesn’t look like much of anything when I put it on, but after it sits on my face for a few minutes, all the fine lines and my undereye circles disappear! I look about 5 years younger almost immediately. I may never go back to mineral powders again!
I don’t wear it everyday, so I can’t speak to the whitening (I’m super pale already, so I’m not sure if I’d notice). I even got my husband to wear this while we were on vacation!
I would call this a lighter coverage. It does take a bit more product to cover my face than some others I’ve tried, since it sinks in so quickly, but it doesn’t look overly made up even though I’m using more. I don’t really notice any scent with this.
I was looking for reviews on this BB Cream when I stumbled upon this website.
I was looking for an affordable foundation (I was running out of my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser and hoped I could spend less for something similar!) that is suitable for sensitive skin, and I decided to try Skin79′s BB Cream.
While this BB Cream claims to be able to finish matt, it does not. You have to use loose/compact powder if you want to achieve a matt look. However, it does a great job in giving you that dewy, glowing-from-beneath look, if that’s the look you wanna go for. This cream does not give intense coverage, so if you want full coverage, intense matt look, head for other foundations. For blemishes, I had to use a little of my normal concealor on top of the BB Cream in order to conceal the discolouration.
And similar to Kit’s experience, I started having a little breakout (though minor) from using the product on my very first application. I have sensitive skin and although I don’t have acne, I’m really conscious about small pimples popping up on my face, especially in the T-zone. However, this is probably the only foundation (apart from LM Tinted Moisturiser) that I’ve tried so far that doesn’t fill in and hog my pores crazily and make me breakout like mad.
Overall, I would say that this is a good buy.
I’ve been using this product 5x a week for over 2 monthes now. This product has decent coverage and definitely brightens the complexion. The only thing is, I started having tiny breakouts or clogged pores showing up on my cheeks. I have slightly sensitive skin. So I would not recommend this for people with sensitive skin, especially with prolonged usage.
I just started to use this and i’m lovin it! It brighten up my face and give me the right amount of coverage i need. I was never too satisfied with the foundation i was using. It’s either too light not enough coverage or i had to go with a thicker foundation. Since i just had a baby, when carrying the baby with a foundation the baby rubs off on it. With this BB cream it doesn’t. Exactly what i needed. Since it’s all in one, i don’t need to put primer or extra concealer. I have uneven red spots, usually i’ll need to use a face primer first. After using it, my face feels fairer, i guess the whitening is working it’s magic. I’m very satisfy with it’s results, it gives me that flawless complexion that i always wanted without looking i had any make up on
It was difficult to expel the cream from its container…. I had to tap the bottom more than 3 times, and shake it, and outraged on the button until it splattered and i had to use it when i didn’t had to… last time when i had to use it for going out, it wasn’t coming out and i wasted 10 minutes trying to get it out, instead i just used another foundation and be on my way… i am sad because i was 20 minutes for my appointment!
it doesn’t feel like a concealer, more like a facial cream… hehe, but if you want to get a matte look, please use a loose powder to do the finishing.
I lovee the packaging for this item, it’s the prettiest i’ve seen so far. I was sure it would last me a long time, and indeed it has. I don’t use it everyday because for me, after applying i am left with not a matte look but a kind of shiny look? my face does look radiant but in a way oily at the same time and i was looking for a matte look. Also, it seems to wear off after a few short hours. i love that it has SPF protection, whitening, anti-wrinkle, and minimal coverage though.
If you need one example of why BB cream works, it would be my face!
I’ve suffered from acne my whole life, and with acne comes acne scars, along skin sensitivity, roughness and big pores. What that means for most of us is covering up with foundation that we know we really shouldnt be doing. BB cream is designed for ladies like us (normal people!) who have less than perfect skin who want to cover it up AND help heal it at the same time. This BB cream has all the properties of a BB I could ever hope for. Whitening ingredients to even out your skintone, SPF, and lots of high-end ingredients like diamonds, ruby, gold, and gemstones. Now you can feel like you’re using a royalty skin treatment without spending that much! Coverage is great and natural, helps keep skin calm and relaxed and keeps oil at bay too! I can’t keep talking about this product, it has become my HG foundation/skincare product!
