This bb cream is not for me. It is so intimidatingly light – I looked like a ghost! But worst of all it caused breakouts on my skin
My second BB cream. Oh, the irony…
I have oily skin with pimples. Like, a lot of pimples xD Especially on my forehead, but I went to a dermatologist and my skin looks much metter now. Screw it, who cares (no one who care about me~! xDDDD).
COVERAGE:
Oh, God… Does it even cover something? xDD Maybe only pores. But it kinda makes my skin look better. KINDA XD
TEXTURE:
HOLY SH*T. I CAN FEEL IT ON MY FACE XD And it’s sticky. The other day I went cycling. When I came back home, I looked in the mirror… A SMALL INSECT STUCK ON MY FACE xDDDD And if we add to this sweating… WTH DO I HAVE ON MY PRECIOUS FACE?! xDDD
The one advantage – I can apply this BB cream really easily.
The colour… I think it can fit into a skin tone, so it’s not that bad. But my friend was like: “You have sth on your face!” xD”
OIL CONTROL:
My face was sooooo shiny. Like, “SHINEE’S BACK!” xDDD No, really. It looked like I had oil on my face. NOT COOL XD My sister said I looked like a retard with that shiny face xD And it’s not that it was shiny after a couple of hours. My face was shiny STRAIGHT after applying.
SMELL:
To me, the best thing about this BB cream. But since it’s not the most important thing…
OVERALL RATING:
I’d like to give this BB a 2,5/5 but since I can’t… 2/5. Oh God… I’m the first person who didn’t like this BB cream at all xDD I won’t come back to this cream. “Hasta la vista, baby!” xDDDDD
This is the first BB Cream that I’ve bought, but it won’t be the last…
This product is aimed at the younger end of the market, but I bought it anyway and I’m 29. I live in the UK (i.e. no sun) and have pale skin; mainly clear, a bit oily on the t-zone (hence choosing this product) but with flaky eczema patches on the forehead. Nice combination. Foundation and powder make the flaky patches look worse, so I was worried that this would do the same. However, it didn’t! I love the way it sinks into my skin, without leaving a layer of ‘makeup’ sitting visibly on the surface. It doesn’t sit in the flaky bits, but they seem to disappear.
First Impressions: The packaging is much prettier than it looks on the website. A kind of pearlescent sheen to the tube. So far I’ve had no problems getting the product out of the tube – but do hold the tube cap end up, as the product is quite runny and you’ll find it much easier to get the right amount out if you squeeze ‘upwards’!
Coverage: Not having another BB Cream to compare this to, I can’t really tell how it performs on coverage, but it does make my skin more even and my pores less visible. I suffer from dark under-eye circles, so I use concealer around my eyes. It does take the natural colour out from my cheeks, so I have to wear blusher to look healthy.
Texture & Colour: Blends well. Doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a layer of makeup. I wasn’t sure what other reviewers meant by the ‘beige-grey’ colour, but I see what they mean now. It does look unnatural when you put that first bit on your face. For first time users, I recommend applying some to the back of your hand to get used to the way it changes. It’s harder to tell on your face. Although I’m pale, the colour still looks a little light when I first put it on but once it’s blended I can’t tell it’s there.
Oil control: Not quite as good as I was hoping. Some people love that ‘glowing’ look; on me, it just tends to look like I have a shiny forehead/nose. To prevent this I use a loose powder over the t-zone (I use Corn Silk loose powder). I also find it makes me look oily if I apply it under my eyes, so I use concealer over the top around the eye area.
Smell: Floral, light, not at all unpleasant. I only gave it four stars because I would prefer unscented, but as far as scents go, it’s a nice one.
Downsides: No SPF?? I hadn’t realised that this didn’t contain SPF until after I had bought it but, to be honest, I think it’s probably giving some sort of coverage anyway, due to the texture of the product.
I do think that I’ve seen an improvement in my skin using this product. The pores on the nose definitely look smaller and I’ve been generally happier with my skin. I’m looking forward to trying other BB Creams and have just bought the Skin Food Peach Sake cream because of the good reviews on this site (and SPF). I would also like to try the Lioele The Triple, as it’s had great reviews, but I can’t find a UK stockist that doesn’t want to charge me over the odds to get it!! Come on UK, catch up soon please!
This bb cream is a great starter cream. It great at covering the redness in your skin, and great for covering small blemishes. The texture is AMAZING, it’s so easy to spread and blend. The oil control is decent, and it makes your skin look and feel sooo smooth.
Oh, and it has a light floral scent to it, after a while you won’t even notice it anymore, so that’s good.
Other notes: The packaging is so pretty! <- Aha, I'm sorry, I just had to bring that up.
This is a great BB cream!
This bb cream’s target market is younger ladies and teenagers ( which is me) who are having a world war ||| battle with skin. It supposedly heals, mouistrizes, and covers up blemishes.
Heals: well it kind of did, kind of didn’t. If you use if for a long time, I’d expect skin imporovement results. I’ve been using it for 4-5 months because I use it daily ( 50g). I didn’ really see a HUGE improvemnt, but my skin has gotten better.
Moisturizing: Yup, pretty good in this department. But I did apply moirsurizer before applying this bb cream so, that could have something to do with it. But on days I didn’t apply moisurizer, areas with my blemishes, the bb cream would kind of crack around it. I have comobo skin that is norm-dry, so that could have just been my case.
Coverage: YUP. for the most part, it totally covers redness areas and minor blemishes. Larger blemishes might need a little halp and extra coverage with concealer. Building up the bb cream concentration in that area does NOT work, it just cracks around the blemish later in the day. If you use too much it can kind of make your face look a little too grey looking, so I’d apply mattifying translucent powder afterwards so I didn’t look like a white canvas. If you use the right amount, you can skip that step and it should be fine. It doesn’t have a pear or shiny finish or anything liek that, just an attempt at flawless skin. Which it does accomplish, however it doesn’t last the entire day.
the scent: I’ve heard this to have a light floral scent, you either love it or hate it. I however never smelled anything of it, so it didn’t hinder my attitude for it.
Other things to note: The bottle is cute :] it also doesn’t say anything about SPF on it, but I believe it must have some kind of SPF in there since it is marketed for younger skin, I’d figure that Korea wants to protect the young people’s skin :]
Overall: Give it a try, It was pretty good! I did like it better than the Skin79 Hot pink bb cream for 1) it was no as thick as the Hot Pink one, so it blended easily into the skin. 2) the tone was a little lighter. It gives you a nice clean younger look and pretty decent coverage! It won’t disappoint
This is a good bb cream if your new to these products, it’s pretty basic. It has a lotion type smell to it. The product isn’t super creamy, more of a liquid texture. You do not need a lot of product but you get a good amount: 50g. It blends nicely. It looks oily when first applied so you’ll probably want to put a powder over it. The stay power is so-so, maybe 3-4 hrs.
